The Beach Café is under renovation. They are moving the stage and expected to be open soon and booking talent for the Fall. We congratulate Dave Goodside who just won a MAC Award for all that he did for healthcare workers in his “Hamburgers for Heroes” program. Please keep watching here for updates!
The Laurie Beechman Theatre / West Bank Café – The Laurie Beechman Theater is expected to be open and booking shows soon. As most of you know, there is LIVE on-going music from Wednesday-Sunday happening at the West Bank from 7:00-9:00 with some shows booked for a 5:00-7:00 set. (Doors open at 4:00 pm for cocktails and dining with indoor and outdoor Covid safe options.) Birdland / The Birdland Theater – Gianni Valeni just announced that Birdland will officially open as of July 1. Jim Caruso continues his amazing “Pajama Cast Party” every Monday night @ 8:00 and Billy Stritch is doing “Billy’s Place” every Thursday @ 8:00 pm on Facebook Live and Billy is also LIVE on Sundays at The West Bank Cafe. I have heard rumors that booking for the fall shows will start soon.
Don’t Tell Mama is also back with their incredible, Broadway caliber singing staff performing nightly from 5:00 pm – 2:30 am. Opening at 4:00 for Happy Hour, they serve bar snacks and cocktails. Staff performances begin at 9:30 pm and go all evening and audience and guests are invited to sing at the Open Mic from 9:30 pm – 2:30 am. No cover charges. Feinstein’s 54 Below @ Home will re-open on June 17th with an amazing array of live shows as they continue to livestream Jeremy Jordan extended through to June 17 and Marilyn Maye through to the end of May. We have heard that no new shows will be booked there until they have re-scheduled all the shows that got cancelled due to Covid. Pangea is open M-T from 5:00-10:00 pm for dinner, Sat & Sun from 5:00-11:00 with LIVE entertainment being offered every Saturday by Michael McAssey from 7:00-9:00 and Sunday Brunch is now being offered from 11:00-4:00 AND every 2nd Sunday Sue Matsuki & Gregory Toroian will be offering and Open Mic/Jazz Brunch with Skip Ward on Bass and special guest singers from 12:00-3:00 pm. The Stonewall Inn the historic birthplace of the modern Gay Rights movement is now open for business as usual featuring special open mic nights upstairs hosted by Mark Hartman and Gerry Dieffenbach and, of course, their incredible singing staff. Stonewall is open Monday-Friday from 6:00 pm – midnight and Saturday-Sunday from 1:00 pm to midnight and every Friday night they offer the Diva Series. The Triad / Metropolitan Zoom / Studio A – Under the management of Bernie Furshpan, The Triad Theater is open for live bookings with up to 50 people in the theater, or they can produce a hybrid show (in-person audience combined with a Virtual Zoom Venue or Live Stream audience) with the required Covid-19 safety protocols in place. booktriadnyc@gmail.com
