Rev. Yolanda’s Church with a 2-Drink Minimum
Don’t Tell Mama
Sunday, August 11th @ 2:00 pm
Whose’s a pretty, pretty butterfly? You are Rev. Yolanda, because you teach us to fly and embrace all that is beautiful in ourselves with your joy and infectious music and talent.
Rev. Yolanda’s Church With A 2 Drink Minimum is a Trans-Tastic Interfaith, Inter-spiritual, God Optional Celebration of Life!
Featuring Rev. Yolanda’s husband, Rev. Glen Ganaway along with back-up vocals by Doreen Younglove and Feathers The Wise, with Music Director Phil Carroll, there is no place in the city like this room on a Sunday afternoon. Feeling blue… go to church… have a drink!
Rev. Yolanda (aka Roger Anthony Mapes) uses original tunes that are both poignant and funny, with personal and universally understood stories, to celebrate and acknowledge all the joys, sorrows, regrets, family issues, and hope that each of us harbors. Being there is like a general confession… all the spirit and none of the guilt!
The over-riding theme is to love yourself as you are…that you are perfect just as you are. Oh, by the way, BONUS…Rev. Yolanda is also a really great songwriter, guitar player and singer!
The wig falls off, the guitar needs tuning…it’s pure love and joy, people! Just go with it and you will leave the room in a much better mood than you entered!
