 Following the smash success of LIVE FROM LOCKDOWN! on April 23rd, MARDIE MILLIT (with Michael Garin, of course!) returns for LIVE FROM LOCKDOWN 2! on Thursday, May 7th at 7:15pm.With an hour of songs, alleged humor & other shameless pleas for attention. Pants not required! Adult beverages or other mind-altering substances strongly encouraged! “Evoking both a young Carol Burnett & Bette Midler” (Stephen Holden, The New York Times), vocalist & comedienne Mardie Millit is “high-level finesse & charm” (Larry Myers, At Elaine’s, the world-famous show business & literary nightspot where she appeared for its final three years, Mardie became known for her late-night duets with TV & movie heartthrobs & even a former head of the CIA. She has also made regular appearances at Birdland, Iridium, the Monkey Bar, the Rainbow Room, 54 Below & Joe’s Pub, both as a solo performer & with on-and-off-stage partner, Michael Garin.
Mardie has appeared regionally in a slew of classic musical theatre roles & in New York premieres of original shows by the likes of William Peter Blatty, Billy Stritch & Mark Waldrop. Her most recent theatrical endeavors have been with Dream Productions at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, where she has played Joanne in Company, the Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods, Berthe in Pippin & (deities willing) will be playing Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd in the Fall. She is also developing a solo cabaret act & continues to make guest appearances at nightclubs & cabaret venues all over NYC.
