The lovely soprano Madelaine Warren will be finishing up her four-performance run of her acclaimed new show Madelaine Warren: Mad For Romance on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Don’t Tell Mama (343 West 46th Street – between 8th & 9th Avenue) in Manhattan. Accompanying Madelaine will be the remarkable MAC Award-winning musical director Christopher Denny on piano and the incomparable Bob Renino on bass. MAC Award winner Barry Kleinbort is directing the show. In describing the concept of her show, Madelaine says “with masterful arrangements by Christopher Denny and Barry Kleinbort, this is an evening of terrific tunes that are a joy to sing…full of beauty, mystery, and mirth. Perhaps the poetry of The Great American Songbook will leave you…mad for romance.”

Madelaine has won praise from the critics for her cabaret shows, among them, Mark Dundas Wood, who wrote in Bistro Awards: “Madelaine Warren is a most welcome addition to the New York scene…she has such a fine gift for latching onto the emotional core of a song and then exploring the places that the melody and lyrics take her.” In his blog for The Salon, pianist Mark Janas wrote that “With an expressive musicality, rich belt, and a few nods to comedy sopranos of the past, Madelaine provided a varied selection of music, starting with the mysterious Out of This World by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer. Stepping out of the unearthly mood of that tune, she swung into the samba with the playful Day In, Day Out. A fan of Beverly Sills (famous for the line “it took me years to become a star overnight”) Madelaine provided some clever lyrics and a lesson in both comedy and biology by ending her trio of works with the phunny, punny, physiology-filled The Physician.”

The Music Cover Charge is $20.00 ($15.00 for MAC members) with a two-drink minimum. For reservations, please either call Don’t Tell Mama for reservations (after 4:00 P.M.) at (212) 757-0788 or to order tickets online, go to
