The premise of Think About Love is to honor the power of love in all its complexities and contradictions. Maria and Kati first performed together this past December 2020 in It’s Finally Christmas, a group show presented online by Gregory Toroian Jazz/Pop Workshops. Inspired by the 1942 film Holiday Inn, they’re keeping the festive vibe alive with a Valentine’s themed show for February, the month of love.

Maria Corsaro has performed in cabaret theaters in NYC and Norwalk, CT, over the past 5 years, after being away for many years from her first love – singing! She’s been in various workshop performances and in 2018, presented her solo debut cabaret show Love… It’s Complicated. Most recently, she was seen virtually in Turn, Turn, Turn and It’s Finally Christmas with her musical director/arranger Gregory Toroian. Besides Gregory, teachers and musical influences include Kenneth Gartman, David Friedman, Nancy Marano, and Sue Matsuki.

Kati Neiheisel is a 2018 MAC Award nominee for her New York debut show, Among the Stars. Her debut show and second show That Holiday Feeling were performed at Don’t Tell Mama with musical direction and arrangements by Gregory Toroian. Kati has also worked with Helen Baldassare, Marilyn Maye, and the late musical director Barry Levitt. Her early supporters and mentors include Sue Matsuki, Deb Berman (director of Among the Stars) and Susan Winter.

Gregory Toroian, musical director, arranger, singer-songwriter, teacher, and jazz musician, has been featured in Cabaret Scenes magazine and was the 2020 Bistro Award winner for Outstanding Collaboration with Sue Matsuki. Gregory and Sue also won the MAC award for Best Duo Production. In addition to working with such artists as Tony Bennett, Jon Hendricks, Cab Calloway, Donna Summer, Melissa Errico, Karen Mason, and Jane Olivor, he has appeared in almost every jazz club and cabaret, (major and minor), in New York. He has toured with principal dancers from the New York City Ballet and has made numerous radio and television appearances including the Today Show and Maury Povich. His recording work includes the recent debut CD of Suzanna Ross, which is receiving rave reviews and radio play worldwide, as well as the debut CD of award-winning cabaret artist Sue Matsuki, for which he was arranger, producer, and pianist, and seven CD’s with NYC cabaret singer Nancy Stearns. Gregory’s vocal arrangements have been featured on a series of albums in the US and Japan, by the vocal group String of Pearls.
