CALLING ALL PHOTOGRAPHERS! In Association with Publishers Rowman & Littlefield and the National Association of Teachers of Singing, I am holding an industry-wide photo competition, for the cover of my new book! “So You Want to Sing Cabaret!” is the latest in the “So You Want to Sing” series of academic books by publishers Rowman & Littlefield, sponsored by The National Association of Teachers of Singing, and will have a wide distribution among universities, national bookstores, and online distribution. R&L and NATS are looking for a unique photo for the cover of this book, a close-up (at the mic) action picture of a cabaret singer. The singer does not have to be well-know (but can be). The action within the picture must be compelling, and the photo must distinctly characterize a Cabaret performance (rather than any other type of performance at a mic – see reference covers below). The picture must be full color, high resolution. You may submit up to 30 photos for consideration. Full Photo credit and a small stipend will be offered to the winner. Send your photos by shared file transfer (Dropbox, Google Drive, WeTransfer, etc) to david@cabarethotspot.com DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION is APRIL 1, 2019! The winning photo will be chosen by the publisher and the winner will be notified by May 1, 2019. At that time a standard release form will be executed by both the photographer and the subject(s) in the photo. BE SURE to have your subject’s permission to submit! Although submissions do not have to be finalized until April 1, please email or message me immediately with your intent to submit. GOOD LUCK! Below are pictures of the books in the series thus far, to give a visual context for what the publisher would like to see. ... See MoreSee Less
