Christmas Show
Don’t Tell Mama
Dec 19 & 20, 2021

After not being able to perform a live cabaret show these past twenty months, Cabaret singer and four-time MAC Award nominee Richard Holbrook will be returning to Don’t Tell Mama to perform what has almost become an annual tradition – his holiday cabaret show. RICHARD HOLBROOK: WE NEED A LITTLE CHRISTMAS NOW… AND HOW! will be presented on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. and on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. at Don’t Tell Mama (343 West 46th Street – between 8th & 9th Avenue). Holbrook will be accompanied by The Tom Nelson Trio – Tom Nelson on piano; Tom Kirchmer on bass; and John Redsecker on drums. Tom Nelson will be my musical director.

The show will feature traditional holiday favorites as well as songs from Broadway and Hollywood that fit nicely into the Christmas season. Among the celebrated composers and lyricists featured in the program are Cole Porter, Henry Mancini, Charles Aznavour, Portia Nelson, Anthony Newley, Irving Berlin, Jimmy Van Heusen, Burton Lane, Jule Styne, Marc Shaiman, Scott Wittman, Amanda McBroom, Michele Brourman, Ronny Whyte, Roger Schore, and Irving Gordon. In addition, there will be tributes to the late great composers Sammy Cahn, Stephen Sondheim and Leslie Bricusse.

The Music Cover Charge is $25.00 ($15.00 for MAC members) with a two-drink minimum. Proof of Vaccination Required. All proceeds will benefit The Cancer Support Community, an organization dedicated to ensuring that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community.
